TOFU is a charity book project initiated by Zhu Yingchun Design Studio (ins@zhuyingchun_books), inviting works inspired by tofu and the memories it evokes. The project brought together over 200 contributors from literature and art, including poetry, prose, calligraphy, printmaking, sculpture, and architecture. All royalties were donated to four rural middle schools in Sichuan, benefiting more than 6,000 children with access to hot and purified drinking water.

Designed as a book-object resembling a real block of tofu, the publication received several awards, including The Beauty of Books in China 2022 and the New Weekly Blade Edge Book Awards 2023.

I contributed one illustration and a short essay reflecting on childhood memories of mobile tofu stands that have gradually disappeared with urban development—an experience widely shared among the post-90s generation in China. The illustration was shortlisted for the 5th BIBF International Illustration Competition.
